Strawberry Yogurt Fruit Dip {Recipe}

In my opinion, beautifully prepared food is always more appealing than food that is haphazardly served.  For me, this is especially true when I'm trying to eat a bit healthier.  If I still get to enjoy beautiful food, and hopefully a few sweet things too, I don't feel deprived.  This delicious Strawberry yogurt fruit dip is sweet and delicious and is a great choice as a snack or light dessert.

Strawberry Yogurt Fruit Dip

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (regular or reduced fat)
1- 6 oz container Strawberry yogurt
1/2 cup finely chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen- I used frozen)
1/2 cup marshmallow cream (sometimes labeled marshmallow fluff)

Finely chop/blend frozen (thawed) strawberries in a food processor or food chopper.  You could also do this by hand if needed, although in that case I would suggest chopping them while still partly frozen.  If chopping by hand, chop on a paper plate, or something to catch the extra juice, so you can use that too.

Using a stand mixer, or hand mixer, beat cream cheese until fully smooth.  Add strawberry yogurt and blend until smooth. Add chopped strawberries (with juice).  Add marshmallow cream.  Blend until fully combined.

Put dip in the refrigerator to set up for at least 30 minutes.  Serve with fresh fruit of your choice.  Dip will keep well in the refrigerator for 2 days.

Recipe Source-  My version of a recipe found in A Little Taste of Heaven, by Philadelphia brand cream cheese, 2001.

Create a beautiful fruit platter to serve your family, or take to a party.  For a more formal affair, you can create beautiful individual fruit plates (as shown below) using mini dessert dishes (these are Libby brand, bought at Target) and place the fruit on small wooden skewers.

Enjoy!

This looks so beautiful, I love your presentation! And the yogurt looks fabulous as well! This is a great alternative instead of eating an overly rich dessert. Great recipe!

Your strawberry yogurt dip is perfect for the season. Eating fresh fruits is a good way to cap a delicious and satisfying meal. I always sprinkle some nutmeg on my dips to give them a nutty flavor.
